I happened across another piece of software to manage metadata for books. I have all books hosted on jellyfin but its a suboptimal interface for reading/downloading.

Booklore on the other hand seems to handle metadata much better while also looking pretty nice. I believe there is some integration for apps/devices but I havent explored it much.

> BookLore: A self-hosted, multi-user digital library with smart shelves, auto metadata, Kobo & KOReader sync, BookDrop imports, OPDS support, and a built-in reader for EPUB, PDF, and comics.

For now I have to set up accounts for people.

There is a book drop for sharing. Currently there’s only 2 category of books. I have textbooks and books. The sorting should be pretty self explanatory. If what you want to upload doesnt fit those descriptions, please notify me and I will create the appropriate category.
